A guest shared an incredibly disappointing experience at Disney World where their food “tasted like a shoe.”

Walt Disney World Resort is home to some of the best Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, and EPCOT.

Each theme park has its own special rides and attractions that have guests flocking back to them for more. It’s clear that whether it’s Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort, Disney fans love getting their chance at a Disney vacation.

But things don’t always go well at Walt Disney World, especially when it comes to dining experiences. This is especially considering the expense that comes along with eating at the Disney Parks. One Disney guest and Reddit user, u/jst1217, shared an unfortunate anecdote:

So I just got back from Disney World and wanted to share my experiences at Space 220. We were pretty excited to eat there and wanted to share my honest opinions of the restaurant. Unfortunately we walked away pretty disappointed.

The guest went on to quote the high price point and even said the food was most definitely not worth the expense. They went on to say that their filet “tasted like a shoe.”

Many other guests in the comments agreed with the OP. For example, u/thethurstonhowell added, “That’s my issue with spending $300 and 90 minutes to eat here. There’s better cheaper food literally everywhere at Epcot.”

The OP concluded by saying, “This restaurant was a one-and-done for us. I walked away highly unimpressed. If you want to spend $300 for 2 adults and a child on high end Disney dining you can go to STK and half an actual good meal.

Some others shared that The Lounge was also a better option to experience high-end Disney dining. It’s important to note this was one guest’s experience, and Space 220 is known to be a restaurant where guests can, according to Disney’s official website,
