Christmas at Walt Disney World isn't limited to giant trees, wreaths, lights, and holiday snacks.
Sometimes Disney changes the attractions themselves.
Disney's Hollywood Studios visitors will see another example of that this year when Alien Swirling Saucers receives a limited-time holiday soundtrack. The Toy Story Land attraction will feature several festive songs beginning November 4, and they'll remain part of the ride through January 6.

It's one of several attraction changes Disney has planned for the season, and it arrives shortly after another new addition appeared in the same area.
Lilypad from Toy Story 5 (2026) recently made a debut near Alien Swirling Saucers, bringing a brand-new character to Toy Story Land.
Now, guests visiting during the holidays will have something else that's different.
Alien Swirling Saucers Gets a Christmas Soundtrack
The biggest change will happen with the ride's music.
Disney plans to feature four festive tracks during the seasonal run: “Toyland,” “Deck the Halls,” “Swirling, Swirling Saucers,” and “Joy to the Swirl.”
That means the ride itself won't need to undergo a major transformation for guests to notice something has changed.

Music is already an important part of Alien Swirling Saucers. Guests climb aboard rocket ships and spin around while the Little Green Men serve as the stars of the experience.
Changing those songs gives Disney a relatively easy way to create a holiday version without taking the attraction out of operation for an extensive makeover.
It also adds something that's only available for a limited time.
Once January 6 passes, the holiday run will be over.
There's Already Something New Nearby
Guests who haven't visited Toy Story Land recently may notice another change before they even get on Alien Swirling Saucers.
Lilypad was recently added near the attraction.
The interactive character comes from Toy Story 5 (2026), giving Disney a way to bring the newest Toy Story story into its existing land at Hollywood Studios.
For returning visitors, that means this section of the park has already changed.
The addition of Lilypad followed by the seasonal Alien Swirling Saucers soundtrack creates an especially busy stretch for an area that some guests may normally pass through quickly after experiencing the major Toy Story attractions.
And Disney isn't stopping there.
Holiday Overlays Are Spreading Across Disney World
Disney has used holiday overlays for years to make familiar attractions feel different during November and December.
Jungle Cruise becoming Jingle Cruise is one of the best-known examples. Space Mountain has also received a Christmas makeover during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
This year, guests will find seasonal changes elsewhere.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT is receiving holiday tracks, while Rock ‘n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets at Disney's Hollywood Studios will also get a limited-time holiday overlay.
Alien Swirling Saucers now joins that group.
The strategy gives guests another reason to return to attractions they might otherwise skip. A family that has experienced Alien Swirling Saucers on several previous vacations may decide it's worth another ride simply because this version won't be around for long.

It's also another way Disney can make the holiday season feel different without introducing an entirely new attraction.
For Hollywood Studios visitors, the change means there will be more seasonal experiences waiting beyond the park's decorations and Christmas entertainment.
Beginning November 4, even a spin with the Little Green Men will have a little more holiday spirit.
And guests who want to experience it will need to do so before the festive soundtrack disappears after January 6.
