Construction walls have become a familiar sight at EPCOT over the past year, and now Disney has confirmed another temporary closure inside World Showcase.
This time, the latest work has arrived at the Canada Pavilion, where guests will find a popular walkway closed as refurbishment efforts continue around the park. While the closure isn't affecting any attractions or restaurants directly, it's another sign that Disney's maintenance work across World Showcase is far from over.

A Popular Canada Pavilion Path Is Closed
Guests visiting the Canada Pavilion will notice construction walls blocking the walkway that connects Le Cellier Steakhouse with Canada Far and Wide. Both destinations remain open, but the shortcut between them is temporarily unavailable while crews work behind the scenes.
Disney has not announced exactly what is taking place beyond the walls. Given the location, however, the project appears to involve either the pathway itself or the surrounding rockwork that serves as one of the pavilion's signature visual features.
The rugged cliffs, waterfalls, and landscaping have long made Canada one of the most picturesque areas in EPCOT, so maintaining those elements is an important part of preserving the pavilion's atmosphere.
Fortunately, guests can still reach both Le Cellier and Canada Far and Wide by using alternate pathways through the pavilion.
Construction Has Become Common Around World Showcase
Canada is simply the latest stop in an ongoing series of refurbishment projects around World Showcase.
Earlier this year, Disney completed a much larger refurbishment inside the Morocco Pavilion after months of construction. That project refreshed several areas while preserving the pavilion's detailed architecture and immersive setting.
Other countries have also experienced temporary construction activity over the past several months. Guests have encountered work in Germany, France, Mexico, and additional pavilions as Disney continues routine maintenance throughout EPCOT.
Most of these projects have been relatively minor compared to the sweeping transformation that reshaped the front half of the park in recent years. Instead of introducing new attractions, Disney has focused on refreshing pathways, landscaping, façades, and infrastructure that naturally require upkeep after decades of daily operation.

Keeping EPCOT Looking Its Best
World Showcase remains one of Disney's most detailed environments, featuring authentic architecture, intricate gardens, fountains, bridges, and rock formations representing 11 different countries.
Maintaining those spaces requires ongoing work, even if it occasionally means closing a walkway or placing construction walls in high-traffic areas.
Disney rarely announces these smaller refurbishment projects ahead of time, meaning guests often discover them only after arriving at the park.
With work now underway in Canada and several recent projects wrapping up elsewhere around the lagoon, it's likely that World Showcase will continue seeing similar maintenance efforts in the months ahead.
For visitors, the temporary detours may be a small inconvenience. In the long run, though, these projects help ensure one of EPCOT's most beloved areas continues looking as impressive as it has for generations.
