3. Ride
Splash Mountain is one of the “longer” attractions guests will experience while at Walt Disney World. Besides being one of the longer attractions in Walt Disney World, Splash Mountain is actually the fastest in the Magic Kingdom. It is hard to believe it is faster than Space Mountain, but it is by about ten miles per hour! Each log holds eight guests with two people per row. Only recently did Disney finally add lap restraints, which is a bit surprising. Guests twist and turn throughout the ride going from outside to inside and then finally back outside at the end. You’ll notice all of the Br’er rabbit’s friends as you traverse into caverns and canyons filled with animatronics, farm equipment, and of course the pesky Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear. There are a few short drops which may splash some water into your flume, but typically you stay dry until the very end. When will you know the end is near? Keep an ear out for the Oscar winning Disney song and a glimmer of light at the front of your log while inside!
