The video, shared by TikTok user @indimariee, shows the guest wearing a low-cut crop top in front of Cinderella Castle before being told by Disney cast members to change into a different shirt. In the video, she humorously asks, “Is this too much for a little Disney day?” before changing into a more conservative black tank top.

While Walt Disney World Resort’s official dress code doesn’t specifically mention low-cut shirts or crop tops, it does prohibit “clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.” This broad phrasing allows Disney cast members to make subjective decisions about what is appropriate, often leading to differing interpretations of the rules.

Controversy surrounding the Disney dress code has been growing in recent years, with social media videos from 2022 encouraging guests to wear attire that might violate the park’s rules. At that time, Disney cast members often provided complimentary shirts to guests who were found in violation of the dress code. However, as the trend became more widespread, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort took a stricter approach, requiring guests who violate the dress code to purchase new clothing or leave the park.

If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, it’s always best to check the park’s clothing guidelines ahead of time and be mindful of how cast members might interpret your outfit. If you’re unsure about an outfit, choose something else or have a backup packed and ready!
