Whether it’s your first or twenty-first, spending your anniversary at Disney World is a sure way to create a magical and memorable day with the person you love most. Here’s a Disney Fanatic guide to spending your Anniversary at Disney World.

1. Dinner At A Luxurious Restaurant

Being able to sit across from your significant other and have someone else take care of you for a night is a perfect way to celebrate a milestone in your relationship. Each resort and some of the hotels have a restaurant we suggest as a romantic spot to celebrate.

2. Take A Boat Ride

What is it about boat rides that are oh so romantic? We suggest making sure you take a dark boat ride to set the mood. Even if it’s Splash Mountain with its big drop at the end, bobbing up and down through a river of water, holding your sweetie’s hand will be a sweet way to commemorate. Even Living with the Land and Gran Fiesta Tour can be romantic, trust us!

3. Spa Day

Giving your significant other a spa day can be the gesture that will keep on giving. Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of the parks we forget that we’re trying to enjoy each other, getting a couples massage and relaxing for a few hours will help you stop and appreciate each other, allow yourselves to be pampered, and also heal those muscles that have been overworked while you’ve been running around the parks.

4. A Stay In A Romantic Hotel

Even if it’s only on the night of your anniversary, booking a room with a romantic view or spot could be another way to make your celebration perfect. A castle-view room in any of the monorail resorts, or a Port Orleans room where you watch the boat float by we know will do the trick.

5. A Night On The Beach

This option is a must for any Disney Fanatic. Even if you’re not staying at the Polynesian (our personal choice for a beachy evening), you can still make your way to their beach and take a seat on one of their swings over looking the Seven Seas Lagoon. This is best done at night, when the Electric Water Parade is shown and you can see the moon reflected on the lake. There’s a certain quiet elegance you and your honey will enjoy and you won’t want to leave.

6. Stroll Along The Boardwalk

Whether you rent a pair of bikes, take a paddleboat out, or just stroll around and see the Boardwalk Buskers (street performers). The Boardwalk is a fantastic way to spend your anniversary, and it’s just a short walk away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios if you decide to get some park time.

7. Dance The Night Away

Even if you don’t choose to spend your entire anniversary night at the Boardwalk, at least take some time to put your dancing shoes on. Everyone can agree dancing is a great way for lovers to connect and at the Atlantic Dance Hall on the Boardwalk you can do just that. It’s a dance club that’s 21 and over and has NO cover charge.

8. In Room Celebrations

This one will be a splurge but it is worth it. 9. Make Sure You Let Everyone Know

On your anniversary, wear those complimentary buttons with pride; you can get these buttons in the parks at guest relations or at your hotel. Everywhere you go tell everyone by wearing those buttons AND mentioning it, and you’ll be surprised by all the magic the Cast Members create for you. Sometimes it will be a free drink or dessert, other times it could be something even better.

10. Fireworks Are The Perfect Touch

Fantasmic, Illuminations, and Wishes all will serve as a glorious cherry on top for your celebratory evening. Fireworks are already romantic, but fireworks at Disney make everything perfect. Want some unique viewing locations for some of the shows? Try Fantasyland or California Grill for Wishes. Or the Boardwalk Illuminations Cruise for Illuminations.
