Disney Just Dropped the Trailer For Goosebumps Season 2!

The Goosebumps series, penned by R.L. Stine, has captured readers' imaginations since its inception in 1992. Known for its spine-tingling tales, the series encompassed various books, including fan favorites such as Say Cheese and Die!, and Night of the Living Dummy. Disney's decision to adopt this celebrated book series into a new show has proven to be a strategic move, resonating with nostalgic millennials and new audiences alike.

Goosebumps season one debuted on Disney+ on October 13, 2023, as part of the streamer’s Hallowstream initiative. Starring Justin Long as teacher Nathan Bratt, the show focused on Mr. Bratt's inheritance of the old Biddle house, where a teenager named Harold Biddle died. Bratt teams up with a group of teenagers to discover just how Biddle died, not realizing that the answers lie with their parents.

Following the success of season 1, Disney has confirmed a second season of Goosebumps, reigniting interest in the beloved franchise. Titled Goosebumps: The Vanishing, the new season promises to delve deeper into eerie storytelling that intertwines family dynamics with supernatural elements.

David Schwimmer has been brought on as the lead for season 2. He portrays Anthony, a single father of fraternal twins Cece and Devin, who is determined to provide a memorable summer for his children, despite his one strict rule: stay out of the basement.

As the plot unfolds, Anthony's quest to uncover dark familial secrets leads the family down eerie paths. The investigation of his brother's long-ago disappearance introduces shocking twists, amplified by Anthony's increasingly erratic behavior.

The new series will premiere on January 10, 2025, on both Disney+ and Hulu. Check out the spooky new trailer below!

Season 2 of Goosebumps also introduces a variety of new characters that will enrich the storyline. Alongside Schwimmer, the cast includes Francesca Noel as Alex, Elijah M. Cooper as CJ, and Galilea La Salvia as Frankie.

The Vanishing will also have multiple recurring characters. Arjun Athalye will play Sameer, Eloise Payet will play Hannah, Christopher Paul Richards will play Matty, Kyra Tantao as Nicole, Kyra Tantao will portray Nicole, Stony Blyden will play Trey, and Sakina Jaffrey will be Ramona.

In another break from season one, when Goosebumps: The Vanishing premieres on January 10 on Hulu and Disney+, the entire series will be released.
