A Walt Disney World Resort guest captured a troubling experience at Be Our Guest Restaurant on camera and posted it on TikTok, where it rapidly went viral. Here’s what happened.
Walt Disney World Resort’s Be Our Guest Restaurant
Be Our Guest Restaurant has captivated guests since its grand opening in 2012. Part of the Magic Kingdom Park’s New Fantasyland expansion, it draws inspiration from Disney’s beloved film, Beauty and the Beast (1991). It offers three immersive dining areas: The Grand Ballroom, The Rose Gallery, and The West Wing.

Initially, Be Our Guest functioned as a Quick Service restaurant for breakfast and lunch, transitioning to a more refined Table Service experience for dinner. Dinner exclusively allowed guests to interact with the character of the Beast; a PhotoPass photographer took posed photographs before guests were seated for dinner. As the only Quick Service dining option at Walt Disney World Resort that required reservations, it quickly gained popularity among guests looking for an affordable, guaranteed indoor meal.
Be Our Guest Restaurant changed significantly after the COVID-19 pandemic shut down Walt Disney World Resort. Upon reopening, the restaurant adopted a prix fixe Table Service system for lunch and dinner. Character interactions were also modified; the Beast began to greet guests from afar as they dined rather than posing for individual photos.
Disturbing Scene at Be Our Guest

A recent incident at Be Our Guest restaurant cast a shadow over this enchanting dining experience. A video posted on TikTok by @Mariawurtzphoto depicted a disconcerting medical situation while the Beast entertained guests. As onlookers enjoyed their meals, paramedics were seen wheeling a tarp-covered stretcher out of the dining area, igniting concern among viewers.

The appearance of paramedics amidst a bustling dining crowd raised several questions. Some Disney Parks fans wondered about the seriousness of the incident and whether it was typical for such situations to occur at a Disney restaurant.
Speculation About the Tarp’s Contents
Commentators on social media speculated wildly about the stretcher's contents, with many reaching alarming conclusions. Some users jokingly suggested that the tarp might be concealing a deceased guest or Disney cast member.
“Just casually being our guest forever,” one commenter joked.

However, medical professionals who viewed the footage provided a different lens on the situation. They asserted that the tarp was likely covering the empty medical equipment to protect it from the rain.
“There was no body on there,” another comment read. “It was pouring so they couldn’t get [their] equipment damaged and the only way for them to come through is through the dining hall.”

At a close glance, there doesn’t appear to be a person on the rolling stretcher.
Walt Disney World Resort didn’t publicly acknowledge the incident, but that’s not unusual. The Central Florida Disney park typically stays silent about medical emergencies involving Disney cast members or guests.
