Disney Reveals First Look at New Bluey Ride Coming to Theme Park

Disney didn’t roll out fireworks or concept art when it confirmed Bluey’s expanding role in its parks. Instead, it shared a focused update: the animated pups are heading into Disney parks in a more meaningful way.

That alone sparked excitement. Bluey’s fanbase spans toddlers, parents, and longtime animation lovers. When Disney signals growth for a franchise this strong, people pay attention.

The company didn’t reveal a new land or a headline-grabbing ride. But it did confirm that Bluey’s presence is becoming more permanent — and that speaks volumes.

From Streaming Star to Theme Park Star

Bluey’s rise explains why this move feels natural. The series consistently ranks among the most-streamed titles on Disney+ in the United States, often leading Nielsen’s streaming reports.

Its appeal stretches beyond children’s programming. Parents embrace the heartfelt storytelling. Kids dive into the imaginative games. The Heeler family feels relatable, warm, and real.

That popularity fuels everything from merchandise sales to live touring performances. Expanding into theme parks simply extends that connection into a physical space.

Animal Kingdom Welcomes Bluey and Bingo

Beginning in summer 2026, guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be able to interact with Bluey and Bingo at Conservation Station inside Rafiki’s Planet Watch.

Disney describes the experience as interactive, inviting guests to play, dance, and capture photos. While it stops short of labeling the offering as a standard meet-and-greet, it clearly centers on personal character engagement.

The setting works. Animal Kingdom celebrates exploration and outdoor play — themes that mirror Bluey’s backyard adventures and creative storytelling.

Families traveling with younger children often prioritize character interactions, and Bluey’s arrival strengthens the park’s offerings for that age group.

But the expansion doesn’t stop in Florida.

Bluey Officially Gets a Ride!

In the United Kingdom, Alton Towers is developing Bluey: The Ride: Here Come The Grannies inside CBeebies Land. The family coaster is scheduled to open in spring 2026 and will mark the franchise’s first major theme park ride.

The attraction builds around Bluey and Bingo’s playful “Grannies” personas. Riders will glide over gentle dips and around soft curves through colorful scenery inspired by the show’s backyard world.

Alton Towers has previewed the ride vehicle, showcasing the bright, character-driven design. The experience begins in the queue, where interactive elements and nods to Bluey’s house set the tone before guests even board.

CBeebies Land deepens the immersion with additional Bluey offerings. Guests can attend a live stage show, meet members of the Heeler family, and stay overnight in Bluey-themed rooms at the CBeebies Land Hotel.

It’s a coordinated rollout that goes far beyond a single attraction.

Disney’s Next Step?

For now, Disney’s official Bluey plans focus on character interaction rather than ride development. Still, the success of a dedicated coaster overseas could influence future decisions.

Disney frequently introduces characters through experiences before committing to larger attractions. If Bluey draws consistent crowds at Animal Kingdom, further expansion wouldn’t be surprising.

Nothing beyond the summer 2026 Animal Kingdom experience has been confirmed. Yet the broader trend feels clear: Bluey is stepping into theme parks in a bigger way.

Whether through interactive character experiences or full-scale attractions, the franchise’s presence continues to grow.

And as families plan trips in 2026, Bluey’s world will feel closer than ever.

  1. Barney isn’t even nearly on the same level as Bluey. Bluey is so far beyond incredible. Give it a try before you hate on it. And the word is “worse.”
