Disneyland Paris Resort has announced that four beloved rides will temporarily close in July 2025 as part of scheduled maintenance. These shuttered rides could impact wait times and the guest experience across Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.
According to Disneyland Paris Resort’s website, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the Molly Brown and Mark Twain riverboats (out of Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing), the Orbitron, and Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop are among several Disney Park rides that are currently closed for maintenance. On May 17, Disney Parks fans noticed that four popular Disneyland Park rides will be closed simultaneously in July 2025.
As reported by @DLPReport on X (formerly Twitter), the closures will affect four well-loved attractions: Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, and the Molly Brown riverboat. Dumbo will be closed from June 23 until July 5, while Pirates of the Caribbean will shut down from June 23 and reopen on July 12. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast and the Molly Brown riverboat will remain closed for the entire month.

In addition to these closures, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is shut down for maintenance, with a planned reopening in early summer 2025. This means that if the refurbishment isn’t complete when these attractions close, five popular Disneyland Park rides could be inaccessible during July 2025.
While attraction closures can be frustrating for theme park guests, it’s important to remember that these maintenance breaks are vital for keeping the rides safe, functional, and enjoyable. Be sure to check the Disneyland Paris Resort website for the most up-to-date information on attraction closures and refurbishments before your visit.
