Yet another closure is about to hit Disney Springs.
Multiple spots have shuttered at Disney World's shopping and dining district this year.

Sprinkles closed on January 1 as part of a nationwide shutdown. Francesca’s followed in March, while Shore ended operations on April 30.
Now, Johnston & Murphy is expected to permanently close its location on May 7, 2026, marking the latest retail exit from the shopping and dining district at Walt Disney World Resort.
The store first opened in 2016 as part of the Town Center expansion. It offered classic footwear, apparel, and accessories, with a focus on business-casual styles.

No replacement tenant has been confirmed.
District Continues to Add New Offerings
Disney Springs has changed significantly since opening in 1975 as Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village. The area was later renamed Walt Disney World Village, then Disney Village Marketplace, before becoming Downtown Disney.
In 2015, Disney completed a major overhaul, relaunching the district as Disney Springs. The expansion introduced new areas, including Town Center, and added a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment venues.

Disney has previously stated that Disney Springs attracts more annual visitors than Magic Kingdom, even as retail locations continue to change.
New additions are still planned for later in 2026.
Six Ravens, a fast-casual concept focused on savory hand-pies from the owners of Gideon's Bakehouse, is set to open this year.
Level99 will open on the former site of DisneyQuest, an indoor interactive theme park that operated from 1998 to 2017. The five-story venue focused on virtual reality and arcade-style attractions, but closed after attendance declined and the concept became dated.

This site was later repurposed as the NBA Experience, which opened in 2019 in partnership with the NBA. The attraction offered interactive basketball games and exhibits, but shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and never reopened.
The Town Center area still includes Anthropologie, UNIQLO, Superdry, Sephora, Kendra Scott, Zara, Coach, and American Threads.
Dining locations nearby include D-Luxe Burger, Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy!, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, and the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar.
