After months of anticipation and uncertainty, Starbucks has officially unveiled a MAJOR project at Walt Disney World Resort, and it’s already open for guests to enjoy. After a months-long, extended renovation, the popular coffee chain has reopened one of its largest locations at Disney Springs.
The Starbucks location on the West Side of Disney Springs had been closed for several months, with the refurbishment beginning in March 2025. In February 2025, Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks announced that the store would undergo a remodel, with the process expected to take until June. The closure was described by Starbucks as a “long time coming.”
However, June came and went, and construction walls surrounded the West Side Starbucks. Guests visiting Disney Springs were left without the air-conditioned, indoor Starbucks they were used to, though the walk-up Starbucks in the Marketplace remained open.
Finally, in August 2025, the construction walls came down, and Walt Disney World Resort guests were able to get their first look at the newly renovated Starbucks. Though the exterior largely appeared the same, it had been refreshed with a new coat of paint and other minor upgrades. Still, the store remained closed—but not for long.
As of Monday, August 25, the West Side Starbucks has officially reopened at Disney Springs, and WDWMagic shared a first look at the reimagined coffee shop. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a wrap-around mural covering almost all the walls of the store, transporting them into a lush tropical oasis filled with vibrant landscapes and wildlife, including tigers and hummingbirds.
The store’s new queue design aims to improve crowd flow, a welcome upgrade given that this Starbucks is one of the busiest locations on Walt Disney World Resort property. The new design includes more open space inside with tables and chairs spread out to ensure guests can comfortably move around the store. The updated outdoor seating area still offers a stunning view of the water at Disney Springs.
The West Side Starbucks at Disney Springs is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The store also offers Mobile Order through the Starbucks app, making it easy for visitors to pick up their coffee quickly. Inside the store, there is a dedicated pick-up spot for mobile orders.
In addition to the West Side and Marketplace stores at Disney Springs, there are several other Starbucks locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort: EPCOT’s Connections Café, the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom Park, Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Trolley Car Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Starbucks also collaborates with Disney to offer exclusive merchandise, including mugs, tumblers, and holiday ornaments for fans looking to take a piece of the magic home.
