Disney World Confirms New FAIL for EPCOT Theme Park

A quirky new act is making waves at EPCOT, and it’s unlike anything guests have seen before.

Guests wandering through World Discovery, one of the three new neighborhoods that took over from EPCOT’s former Future World, might stumble upon a duo from the Florida Artificial Intelligence Laboratories—or, as their signage proclaims, F.A.I.L.. The team features a walking animatronic named Miss Information, whose attempts at helpfulness frequently go hilariously awry, accompanied by her human handler, Al Gorithm.

The new act is part of a growing lineup of street performers at EPCOT and was quietly introduced, according to WDW Magic, alongside Max and Aydar, a duo known as the Amazing Masters of Variety.

The roughly 15-minute experience feels part improv, part interactive theater, as Miss Information’s charming malfunctions create plenty of laughs while guests themselves become part of the unpredictable routine. The show taps into EPCOT’s spirit of innovation—with a comedic twist.

EPCOT has been shifting and evolving in recent months. While it may not be undergoing the large-scale transformations seen at other parks in the Walt Disney World Resort, there’s still plenty happening. The Cool Kid Summer seasonal celebration has brought new energy to CommuniCore Hall, which has been overtaken by the colorful and whimsical GoofyCore overlay.

Elsewhere in the park, the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase is undergoing construction, temporarily relocating Donald Duck to World Celebration. At the entrance of EPCOT, Phineas and Ferb are now back to meeting and greeting guests once again.

Recently, EPCOT also said farewell to a fan-favorite part of its street entertainment offerings—Forces of Nature, a dynamic acrobatic show, performed for the final time last week.

With all these changes, EPCOT continues to embrace both nostalgia and novelty. Whether F.A.I.L. becomes a fan favorite remains to be seen, but one thing’s certain—it’s already sparking conversations among curious parkgoers.

Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
