There is a constant debate amongst Disney fans. There is always this strong desire for new rides and attractions, but at the same time, fans desperately want things to remain the same as they remember from their childhoods. It is a contradiction that lies within all Disney fans.

But this weekend, EPCOT introduced a new show that has completely divided the Disney community with some likening it to a “sexy circus side show,” while others enjoyed the “kinetic energy” of the show.

On Easter Sunday, Disney World introduced “Forces of Nature” in the Inspiration Garden area at EPCOT’s World Celebration. The show features five acrobats creating an “antigravity performance” themed around the four elements and Mother Nature.

“Forces of Nature” performs six daily shows every Saturday through Wednesday and corresponds with EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival. Each show lasts around 10 minutes with the acrobats defying gravity as they fly around an Earth-like orb.

Walt Disney World has had acrobatic shows, especially at EPCOT, but for some reason, this particular show has struck a nerve with Disney fans.

For some, the circus-like show at Walt Disney World seems a little cheap, and more like something you’d see at a county fair, and not for the prices guests pay at Disney World.

Other fans are convinced that the show is too sexual for the massive number of children who are at Disney World this week. The actors in the show are wearing skin-tight outfits; however, there is very little that is overtly sexual about their act.

For the fans who are enjoying the new experience, they are quick to remind everyone that EPCOT Center has a long history with acrobats, especially in its World Showcase. Disney also points out that change is inevitable at the Walt Disney World Resort, even at EPCOT, which was long considered the “educational park.”

Guests are also complaining that this is the best “new offering” that Disney Parks have to offer this spring. Magic Kingdom will be getting Tianas Bayou Adventure this winter, but there is very little on the horizon for Disney fans. And with this surprise show at EPCOT fans are throwing hate at Disney for not having more new experiences.

Walt Disney World’s website does not say how long “Forces of Nature” will be available to guests at EPCOT. But no matter how long it stays, it will continue to divide Disney fans.
