The doors to Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge won’t open until July 2027, but the first guests could have their reservations secured before the end of this year.
Walt Disney World has revealed a staggered booking schedule for its newest resort, with Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders getting an early advantage.
DVC Members will be first, followed by Passholders and then the general public. With Disney also revealing several different room types and themes for the resort, guests interested in an opening-year stay now have a lot more information to consider before booking begins.
Three Lakeshore Lodge Booking Dates Are Confirmed
October 6, 2026, is the first date to circle.
That is when Disney Vacation Club Members can begin making cash reservations for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. Reservations for DVC Members will initially be available by calling (800) 800-9800.
The next group gets access almost immediately.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can begin booking on October 7 by calling (407) 934-7639.
Disney then opens the doors to everyone else on October 8, when all guests can reserve Lakeshore Lodge online or over the phone.
Although DVC Members only receive a two-day advantage over the general public, that head start could still prove useful for guests targeting certain accommodations or dates around the resort’s opening.
Lakeshore Lodge Opens in July 2027
The booking announcement comes alongside another important piece of news: Disney has finally confirmed exactly when the resort will open.
Lakeshore Lodge officially begins welcoming guests July 1, 2027.
It has been a long road to that opening date.
Disney originally announced a resort for the property in 2018 under the name Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. The project stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic before eventually resurfacing. Disney reintroduced the development in 2024 as Lakeshore Lodge.
Now guests can finally prepare to stay there.
Early Bookers Will Have Several Room Options
Lakeshore Lodge will contain 967 accommodations, and Disney isn’t using the same theme across every room.
Instead, several Disney films will inspire different accommodation categories.
Guests booking a Duo studio will find inspiration from Encanto (2021). Deluxe studios and one-bedroom villas will incorporate Bambi (1942), while resort studios and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will connect to Pocahontas(1995).
Larger groups can look toward three-bedroom grand villas inspired by Fantasia (1940). Meanwhile, Disney’s new Waterfront Lake Houses will incorporate Brother Bear (2003).
Those options give DVC Members and Passholders more than travel dates to think about when their early booking windows arrive.
Disney Is Making Bay Lake Part of the Experience
Lakeshore Lodge is being built on the former River Country property along Bay Lake, between Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Disney plans to make use of that location.
Many accommodations will offer Bay Lake views, with some guests also getting views of Magic Kingdom fireworks. Dandelion Terrace will provide another place to watch the nighttime fireworks from across the lake.
Guests will also have three new dining options: the table-service Moonglade, all-day quick-service marketplace Bay Lake Provisions, and poolside Paint Out Point Bar & Grill.
Still, guests don’t need to wait until July 2027 to take the first step toward experiencing all of it.
For Disney fans hoping to experience Lakeshore Lodge during its opening year, October could be nearly as important as opening day itself.
