EPCOT regulars know that returning to World Showcase doesn't always mean finding everything exactly as they remember it.
This time, guests heading into one of the park's country-themed pavilions will discover that five familiar choices have disappeared. Disney has replaced some of what was previously available with several additions, leaving one established location with a noticeably different lineup.
The update may be particularly important for repeat visitors who already know what they plan to order before arriving. Instead of finding the same selection from a previous trip, they'll have a few new decisions to make.
And this isn't the only area of EPCOT getting attention. Work continues elsewhere around World Showcase, while Disney has already revealed plans for a much larger update involving the park's most recognizable landmark.
World Showcase Is a Major Part of the EPCOT Experience
World Showcase offers guests the chance to explore 11 country-themed pavilions in a single trip around World Showcase Lagoon.
Those pavilions represent Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the American Adventure, Japan, Morocco, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Each area brings its own combination of architecture, entertainment, attractions, shopping, and dining to EPCOT. Guests can spend an afternoon exploring shops, watching entertainment, or simply taking their time walking around the lagoon.
Dining has also become an important piece of that experience.
Between quick-service locations, table-service restaurants, and seasonal festival marketplaces, guests have plenty of opportunities to make food part of their EPCOT plans.
For repeat visitors, that can also mean returning to the same restaurant for a favorite dish. However, anyone heading back to one popular Canada pavilion location will now find several differences.
Five Previous Options Have Left the Menu
Le Cellier Steakhouse has updated its menu with four additions while removing five previous offerings.
Gone are the Land Greens Salad, Heritage Chicken, Roasted Cauliflower “Steak,” Seafood Cioppino, and Boutique Collection dessert sampler.
The new lineup gives guests alternatives across multiple courses.
A Caesar Salad features romaine, Bibb, and frisee with radish, pine nut gremolata, and a plant-based Caesar dressing.
The entrée selection has been expanded to include three dishes. The $41 Roasted Chicken comes with warm farro salad, baby squash, carrots, cranberry-orange gel, and sherry-chicken jus.
Guests can also order the $39 Miso-roasted Cabbage, which includes king mushrooms, chili crisp, maple, wild rice, leek oil, and mushroom gravy.
The $53 Almond-Crusted Salmon pairs the fish with broccolini, celery root tapioca, and adobo sauce.
Le Cellier has made a change to its dessert as well. A $15 Butter Tart comes with brown-butter panna cotta, maple crème anglaise, and cocoa-nib tuile.
For anyone who previously ordered one of the five removed dishes, the next meal at Le Cellier could therefore look considerably different.
Changes Extend Beyond the Canada Pavilion
Elsewhere around World Showcase, Disney continues work around the Germany pavilion.
The project is separate from the Le Cellier update, but both are part of the changes guests can encounter around EPCOT in 2026.
Disney also has much bigger plans beyond World Showcase.
At D23 this year, the company announced that Spaceship Earth will eventually receive a touch of “new magic.” Disney hasn't provided a closure date, so exactly when that transformation will begin remains unknown.
The project will involve updates to scenes and the attraction itself. Disney also plans to adjust the story at the heart of the experience.
Spaceship Earth has traditionally followed the evolution of human communication. With the upcoming work, Disney plans to expand that focus toward human connection.
For now, guests still have time to experience the current attraction. Disney hasn't announced a reopening date or provided a complete timeline for the project.
Returning EPCOT Guests May Notice the Differences
EPCOT doesn't need to open an entirely new attraction for returning visitors to notice that the park has changed.
Sometimes, smaller adjustments can stand out just as quickly, especially when they affect places guests visit during nearly every vacation.
That's what makes the latest Le Cellier update notable. Five previous choices are no longer part of the lineup, while four additions give diners something different to consider during their next reservation.
At the same time, work around the Germany pavilion continues, and an eventual transformation of Spaceship Earth waits ahead.
Taken together, the projects show several different levels of change happening around EPCOT. Some guests will encounter them during their next meal, while others may become much more significant once Disney begins work on Spaceship Earth.
For now, anyone planning a return to the Canada pavilion should expect a different selection at Le Cellier than they may remember from their last visit.
