These Disney World Extras Are Shockingly Cheap (For Once!)

A Walt Disney World trip is a bucket-list dream, but it can get pricey fast. Luckily, there are plenty of budget-friendly extras that deliver the magic without draining your wallet.

Check out these affordable add-ons for unforgettable experiences at Disney World that won’t break the bank.

1. Miniature Golf

For a fun break from the theme parks, Disney offers two uniquely themed miniature golf courses:

  • Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf – Inspired by Disney’s classic Fantasia, this course features whimsical obstacles and fun challenges.
  • Winter Summerland Miniature Golf – A holiday-themed course with playful Christmas elements, perfect for families.

Both courses cost $19 per adult and $12 per child.

2. FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course

If you love both soccer and golf, FootGolf is the perfect hybrid sport. This game involves kicking a soccer ball into oversized holes on a golf-like course and is available at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course.

FootGolf is available after 3:00 PM from November 3, 2024, to January 9, 2025, after 4:00 PM from January 10, 2025, to March 8, 2025, and after 5:00 PM during other times of the year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Pricing varies by season: $35 from January 10, 2025, to April 13, 2025, $29 from April 14, 2025, to May 26, 2025, and $25 from May 27, 2025, to September 25, 2025.

3. Horseback Riding at Tri-Circle-D Ranch

For a unique outdoor experience, head to Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Horseback riding is offered for $65 per person, including a 45-minute guided trail ride through picturesque wooded areas. Reservations are required, and prices may vary, so it’s recommended to check in advance.

If you’re not too keen on the idea of horseback riding, carriage rides are also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, with holiday sleigh rides also available at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort in December.

4. Kayak & Canoe Rentals at Fort Wilderness

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort provides a peaceful setting for kayaking and canoeing.

Rentals are available at a reasonable rate, priced at $15 per person for both kayak rentals and canoe rentals. This allows guests to explore the waterways at their own pace. No reservations are required, as rentals operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Bike Rentals

Biking is a chill way to take in the scenic beauty of Disney’s resort areas at your own pace.

You’ll find standard bike rentals at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.

Prices range from $9 to $20, with helmets and child seats included for free.

6. Motorized Boat Rentals

For a scenic adventure on the water, consider renting a motorized boat. Sun Tracker Pontoon boats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

These can accommodate up to 10 guests for $49 per half-hour. Rentals are available at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

7. Behind the Seeds Tour at EPCOT

If you love learning about science and nature, the Behind the Seeds Tour at EPCOT’s Land Pavilion is a great choice.

This one-hour walking tour provides a behind-the-scenes look at the hydroponic and aquaponic gardens featured in the Living with the Land attraction. Ranging form $39 to $45 per person, it’s one of the most affordable Disney tours available – not to mention one of the most educational experiences you can have at Disney World.

8. Haircut at Harmony Barber Shop

For a nostalgic experience, visit Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park.

Whether it’s a standard trim (starting at $20 for children and $21 for adults), the “My First Haircut” package for kids (which starts at $28 and comes with a commemorative Mickey ears hat, a keepsake lock of hair, and an official milestone certificate), or a quick beard trim (starting at $8), this charming barbershop offers a truly magical experience at a price point comparable to traditional salons.
