The sheer size and scope of Walt Disney World is impossible to fully comprehend. With that many people coming and going on a daily basis, just imagine how many everyday items Disney World must go through in a week.
Pick an everyday item, like, say toilet paper or forks, and Disney World must go through tons of them every day. And the amount of trash people generate at Walt Disney World is mind-blowing.

But what about what people have left behind? Sure, some Disney World guests will intentionally leave things like their loved one’s ashes, but what happens to the items that people just forget?
On any given day, Disney World guests leave hundreds, if not thousands, of items at the theme parks. Everything from Minnie Ears to bubble machines to earpod cases gets left at the parks.
But what happens to all that Disney stuff? Disney does have a lost and found at guest services, but most of those items go unclaimed.
But now, Walt Disney World has found a way to give those items a new life and help a worthy cause. And if you know this secret, you can buy them cheap.
Disney donates its lost and found items to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida’s Thrift Store in Winter Park. The store is approximately 50 minutes north of Walt Disney World, but it’s worth the drive for some rare Disney memorabilia.
According to Southern Living, the thrift store is not only fully stocked with Disney merchandise, but it also has rare pins and limited edition watches. The store says it gets new deliveries from the Walt Disney World Resort every three to four months and updates new merchandise on its Facebook page.
But, like with all things Disney, your timing has to be right. The store tends to sell out of its high-profile merchandise quickly, and some people jump at the chance to buy Disney Treasure.
Unlike most Disney stores, the Central Florida Boys and Girls Club Thrift Store frequently has sales on its Disney merchandise.
So, the next time you’re in the market for some Disney swag, take the short ride up to Winter Park, and you may score a once-in-a-lifetime deal on that item you’ve always wanted or find something you never knew existed. And while you’re shopping, you’ll be helping a good cause.
