Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party can become an expensive night at Magic Kingdom, especially once food, merchandise, and other purchases enter the picture.
But not everything inside the Halloween event requires another swipe of your card.
Disney includes several complimentary offerings for guests with valid party admission, including three that are easy to overlook when you're rushing between rides, characters, and entertainment.
One gives you plenty to snack on. Another is designed to help you carry it all. And the third might be worth saving long after your Halloween vacation ends.
There’s a Lot to Do During Mickey’s Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place at Magic Kingdom on select nights during the Halloween season. Because it is a separately ticketed event, regular daytime admission doesn't automatically give guests access to the party.
Once the Halloween festivities begin, guests have plenty to choose from.
Costumes are allowed as long as they follow Disney's guidelines, while trick-or-treating gives guests another reason to explore different areas of Magic Kingdom. Character appearances, attractions, specialty food, merchandise, and attraction overlays add even more to the evening.
Then there is the entertainment.
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade is one of the signature offerings, while Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular brings fireworks to Cinderella Castle. Guests can also catch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular during the party.
With so much competing for your attention, some of the smaller inclusions can easily get lost in the excitement.
1. Trick-or-Treating Doesn't Cost Extra
You don't have to pay extra for the candy handed out during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Disney sets up trick-or-treat locations throughout Magic Kingdom, giving guests opportunities to collect treats as they move through the park.
There is no need to make trick-or-treating a single stop, either. Guests can visit different locations throughout the evening, making it easy to collect candy between attractions, entertainment, and character appearances.
Disney also makes the experience accessible for guests dealing with certain food allergies.
If you have allergy concerns, speak with a Disney Cast Member about the allergy-friendly trick-or-treating process. Disney offers options for guests with certain dietary restrictions so they can still take part in the Halloween tradition.
Once you start collecting treats, you'll also have somewhere to put them.
2. Free Souvenir
Before spending money on a special trick-or-treat container, remember that Disney provides party guests with a complimentary bag.
The 2026 design also gives guests a reason to hang onto it after the candy disappears.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse appear on one side, giving the bag a distinctly Disney Halloween design.
The other side turns to one of Magic Kingdom's most famous attractions. The Hitchhiking Ghosts from Haunted Mansion appear on the reverse, adding a spooky touch for fans of the attraction.
Guests can carry the bag around the park as they visit treat locations and then take it home afterward.
Rather than viewing it as disposable, the bag can serve as a simple souvenir from your visit to the 2026 party. And it doesn't require another merchandise purchase.
The next complimentary item is even easier to overlook.
3. A Little-Known Keepsake
It can be tempting to throw away your physical party map once you've finished using it, but you may want to hold on to this one.
Disney's Halloween-themed map provides a guide to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, helping guests find attractions, entertainment, treat locations, and other offerings throughout the event.
During the party, it's useful for planning your next stop.
Afterward, it can become memorabilia from your night at Magic Kingdom.
The map represents that year's version of the event, making it an easy item to save for a scrapbook or vacation memory book. Guests can even make it more personal while they're inside the park.
Bring along small Halloween stickers and place one over each attraction you experience. By the time midnight arrives, you'll have a visual record of how much you accomplished during the party.
Don't Wait Until 7 p.m. to Arrive
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, but party guests can get into Magic Kingdom earlier.
Guests with valid event tickets can enter starting at 4 p.m., giving them three hours inside the park before the Halloween party officially starts.
You'll also need a party wristband. Cast Members use wristbands to identify guests with valid admission once regular Magic Kingdom operations end and the separately ticketed event takes over. Guests without a valid party admission cannot stay for the party.
Taking advantage of the earlier entry can help you settle in before the five-hour event begins.
After that, the clock moves quickly. Between candy, characters, attractions, and exclusive entertainment, there is a lot to accomplish before midnight.
Just don't get so busy that you overlook the complimentary extras Disney has already included with your ticket.
