Walt Disney World Resort is offering its Annual Passholders a special benefit before Magic Kingdom Park tightens its rules in July. As the introduction of new reservation requirements draws near, Disney is giving its most loyal guests one last perk at the original Central Florida theme park.
The debut of the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away electrical parade on July 20 will mark the beginning of a new chapter for Passholders. Magic Kingdom Park Pass reservations are now required for all Annual Passholders at any time, on any day. This is a major shift from the previous system, where Passholders were allowed to visit without a reservation on select “good-to-go days” and after 2:00 p.m. on most days.
However, before these new rules take effect, Magic Kingdom Park is offering Annual Passholders an exclusive experience only for a limited time. On June 25, Disney PhotoPass announced via Instagram that it is offering a special Maleficent-themed photo opportunity just for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. Disney PhotoPass photographers will capture guests holding Maleficent’s iconic golden staff, digitally adding her pet raven, Diablo, perched on top.
Feeling a little villainous? @wdwannualpassholders can enjoy this Maleficent-inspired photo op now through July 31 at #MagicKingdom as part of V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days 🖤📸

This exclusive photo-op can be found in Fantasyland, against the walls of Cinderella Castle, closest to Pinocchio Village Haus. The experience is available daily from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., but it is only available until July 31, 2025, so Annual Passholders will need to act fast to take advantage of this one-of-a-kind perk.
The photo-op is part of the ongoing V.I.Passholder Summer Days celebration at Walt Disney World Resort, which also includes exclusive Annual Passholder food and beverage offerings and special merchandise throughout the Central Florida Disney parks.
