Disney World Sneaks In a New Price Update—Right Before Peak Season

A small pricing update just landed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it affects one of the most popular ways guests secure seating for Fantasmic!. The Fantasmic! Dining Package—an experience that bundles a table-service meal with guaranteed access to the show's reserved seating area—has seen a slight change at one restaurant. While the adjustment isn’t dramatic, it’s enough to catch the eye of frequent visitors planning out their winter vacations.

The change applies specifically to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. The adult price for the dining package at this location increased from $57 to $59. No other restaurant participating in the package saw any adjustments, which keeps the rest of the lineup at the same levels as earlier this fall.

Sci-Fi Dine-In is one of Hollywood Studios’ most distinct dining experiences, with its drive-in-style car booths and retro sci-fi clips playing on a large central screen. It’s consistently busy, and its popularity means even a minor price bump is quick to become a talking point among parkgoers who track dining costs closely.

The package itself has not changed. Guests purchasing the Fantasmic! Dining Package still receive a full table-service meal—either an entrée and dessert or full buffet depending on the restaurant—plus a beverage and a seating voucher for the reserved section of the Fantasmic! amphitheater. Guests receive their voucher at the end of their meal. Later, they check in at the designated reserved entry point on Sunset Boulevard.

This offering remains a major draw for those visiting during crowded times of year. Fantasmic! regularly packs its theater, and having guaranteed access to the reserved area can be a substantial relief for families hoping to avoid long waits or stressful seating scrambles before the show begins. Even though seating is first-come within the reserved area, being able to arrive with confidence is worth the extra cost for many guests.

Other important details stay the same: a park ticket and reservation for Hollywood Studios are required, and if the show is canceled due to weather, the dining experience still takes place as scheduled. Dining Plan users can redeem one table-service credit at all participating restaurants, except for Hollywood Brown Derby, which requires two.

While the $2 increase at Sci-Fi Dine-In isn’t major, it reflects the ongoing, incremental price adjustments Walt Disney World makes throughout the year. The rest of the Fantasmic! Dining Package remains stable, and with the holidays approaching, many guests will still see the package as a valuable way to simplify their evening plans.
