The construction activity surrounding a popular Fantasyland snack stop at Disneyland Park has expanded again, and this time, it's the seating area that guests can no longer access.
Repeated Construction in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park
Edelweiss Snacks has now been touched by construction three separate times in less than a year. Scaffolding and themed scrim first materialized around the Quick-Service dining building last summer, with the kiosk staying open and Disneyland Resort offering no explanation for the work.

A second round followed in February 2026, when the location officially closed for refurbishment before reopening March 5 with little visible change: some fresh paint and nothing more. The menu stayed exactly the same.
Last week, a third wave of construction walls and beige scrim appeared around Edelweiss Snacks. Food service continued through a small window, with the usual lineup of turkey legs, bratwurst, frozen drinks, and fountain beverages still available. Disneyland Resort again failed to comment publicly on the nature of the work or offer any completion timeline.
Now the Seating Area is Gone, Too

On April 6, Laughing Place reported that the Fantasia Gardens outdoor dining area adjacent to Edelweiss Snacks had been completely enclosed by construction walls. A photo shared by the outlet on X (formerly Twitter) shows the area fully barricaded:

The Fantasia Gardens outdoor dining area sits on the former dock of the Motor Boat Cruise. From 1957 to 1993, Disneyland Park guests could pilot small motorboats on a lake near the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

Whether Disneyland Resort is conducting deeper structural maintenance or eyeing an expansion of the Fantasia Gardens area remains unknown. No announcement has been made.
