For years, Disney Parks fans have speculated about the company’s next big move, but few expected Disneyland to set its sights on Ireland. As political shifts in the U.S. raise questions about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies, Disneyland Paris is making headlines with its latest hiring push across Europe.
Why Is Disneyland Paris Recruiting in Ireland?
Disneyland Paris Resort recently announced auditions for character and parade performers in Dublin, Ireland. Scheduled for February 10, 2025, these auditions invite aspiring performers to step into the magic and bring beloved Disney characters to life at the European theme parks.
According to the official Disney Auditions listing, the resort is seeking energetic individuals with strong movement and coordination skills. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and willing to commit to a demanding performance schedule.
“An added Parade Performer level to Character roles requires solid dance and/or acting skills through significant training and/or stage experiences,” the casting call reads. Additionally, Disneyland Paris Resort has confirmed it will assist non-European Union residents with visa applications for both short-term and open-ended contracts.
Performer Speaks Out About the Magic of Disneyland Paris
Former Disneyland Paris entertainment cast member Iris (@irisruddy on TikTok) took to social media to encourage Irish performers to seize the opportunity, sharing her own experience working at the Europen Disney park.
“Here are three reasons why I think you should audition,” she said.

“Your commute to work is literally walking past the castle and all the Disney music playing,” Iris explained. “It actually is just so magical, and no matter how awful I felt that day, [I] always kind of had a little ‘pinch me’ moment.”
Beyond the magical setting, Iris emphasized the joy of performing: “Probably the main reason is you get to do what you love every single day. You get to dance down the parade route on Main Street, and if you get to spend time with some of the characters, you’re making families happy.”
She also highlighted the close-knit friendships formed among Disney cast members.
“You get to spend time with your besties every single day,” she said. “…We honestly used to go on rides after work or during our breaks or go for coffee…I had the best year ever.”
How to Audition
Aspiring Disney performers interested in auditioning should create a profile at Disney Auditions. To expedite check-in, applicants can pre-register online the day before the audition by selecting “Disneyland Paris – Character & Parade Audition – DUBLIN (Ireland) – Feb 2025” and submitting a selfie for identity verification. Those unable to check in online should plan to arrive early on the day of auditions.
The audition will take place at Liffey Trust Studios in North Dock, Dublin, with check-in between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Performers should wear comfortable clothing and expect to stay as late as 6:00 p.m., depending on callbacks. Disneyland Paris does not require performers to prepare material in advance, but they should be ready to showcase their movement, energy, and performance skills. Spectators will not be permitted inside the audition area.
