Disneyland Locked Down After Wild Police Chase Ends in Manhunt

Disneyland is universally recognized as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” a sanctuary for families seeking fun and adventure. Known for its enchanting rides, iconic characters, and magical atmosphere, the park provides an escape into a world of wonder. However, on the evening of March 24, 2025, that serene ambiance was disrupted by a real-world event that sent shockwaves through the resort.

What was supposed to be a night of joy at Disneyland turned into an intense manhunt, as a police chase ended on the grounds of the park.

The situation began when two suspects, wanted for stealing a car, led local authorities on a high-speed chase. The suspects’ flight from the law came to a head when they entered the Pixar Pals parking structure at Disneyland Resort, ditching the vehicle and fleeing on foot into the surrounding area.

As soon as the stolen car came to a stop, Anaheim Police and California Highway Patrol officers quickly took charge of the situation. The suspects scattered in different directions, and a full-scale manhunt ensued. The park, typically known for its peaceful and joyful energy, was now the site of a tense police search.

As this high-stakes manhunt continued, guests in the Pixar Pals parking structure were informed that they could not retrieve their cars while the authorities conducted their search. Visitors were instructed to remain inside their vehicles and lock the doors for safety. Guests were understandably shaken, unable to leave the parking area while law enforcement worked to secure the location.

According to The Orange County Register:

“The suspect pulled into the Pixar Pals parking structure at Disneyland in Anaheim around 8 p.m., according to video news provider OnScene.TV.

Police were searching the parking structure for at least one suspect, authorities said. Broadcast reports said as many as four suspects could have been involved.

The structure was temporarily closed for the search Monday night, and visitors who parked there could not immediately access their vehicles. Air support was also patrolling in search of a suspect or suspects.”

For several hours, the park’s usual lively atmosphere was replaced with an air of uncertainty. While most of Disneyland continued with its attractions and entertainment, the guests affected by the lockdown in the parking structure had to stay put until the situation was resolved.

As law enforcement officers scoured the area for the suspects, Disneyland cast members assisted in guiding guests and ensuring everyone remained calm and safe.

In the end, law enforcement was able to apprehend the suspects, and thankfully, no one was harmed in the process.

The two suspects, who were later identified as juveniles, were involved in the theft of the car from a Ritz-Carlton hotel earlier in the day. Their names have not been released, but the stolen vehicle was recovered during the manhunt.

Once the situation was resolved, the Pixar Pals parking structure was reopened, and guests were allowed to retrieve their vehicles. The night’s chaos quickly faded into the background as Disneyland returned to its usual vibrant state, offering guests the magic they had come to expect.

This unusual incident serves as a reminder that even a place as magical as Disneyland can experience disruptions. However, with thorough security measures in place and the cooperation of law enforcement, the situation was handled efficiently.
