Disneyland Finally Bringing Back Beloved Parade After Historic Closure

The Disneyland Resort is expanding like never before after the D23 Expo 2022 ushered in a new era of updates and expansions coming to the classic Resort, but fans will be thrilled to hear the news of a now-classic parade and new experiences coming next year.

Starting late-January 2023, the Disneyland Resort will begin a transformative experience featuring platinum highlights taking over various sections of the Park ahead of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

On top of that, Josh D’Amaro confirmed that the beloved Magic Happens parade would officially return to Disneyland Park next January, bringing life back to Main Street, U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., and more.

Though Magic Happens debuted at Disneyland Park in early 2020, the daytime parade only graced the beloved Park for roughly a month until the COVID-19 pandemic closed Disneyland’s gates for over a year.

Now, Disneyland is getting ready to welcome back one of the most colorful and exciting daytime spectaculars known to date, with countless fans begging The Walt Disney Company to restore Magic Happens for over a year.

With Magic Happens returning in early 2023, Guests will be eager to watch Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and more strut their stuff through the Park!

Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Josh D’Amaro was thrilled to give a sneak peek into the future of the Disneyland Resort as Walt Disney’s first Magic Kingdom officially comes back to life with new attractions like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and thrilling spectaculars like the latest World of Color ONE.
Every Disney fan is ready for that classic Disneyland to feel about returning, and the arrival of Magic Happens is the best step forward that fans could hope for. While it’s unclear how long Magic Happens will remain at the Parks, it’s clear that Walt Disney Imagineering wants to keep this fun experience in Anaheim, California, for as long as possible.
