As one experience ends, another one is incoming, and it sounds delicious!
The BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn at the Walt Disney World Resort will be transformed into a full-blown deli serving everyone’s deli favorites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from pastrami on rye to bagels.
The news was shared on Twitter by Theme Park reporter Scott Gustin (@Scott Gustin), who said,
“NEW: BoardWalk Bakery at Walt Disney World will be renamed BoardWalk Deli when it opens later this summer for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Menu items will include an overstuffed warm pastrami Reuben or a hand-piped cannoli, in addition to other warm sandwiches and bagels.”

The update is confirmed on the Walt Disney World Resort website, which states the following:
BoardWalk Deli – Coming Late Summer 2022!
Inspired by delis of the American Northeast, the menu offers house-baked bagels, savory warm sandwiches and a variety of desserts that will make your mouth water. Try the overstuffed warm pastrami Reuben or indulge in a hand-piped cannoli.

This news comes just as word gets out that the nearby ESPN Club sports bar is being demolished after a tenure of over 25 years on Echo Lake and Disney’s EPCOT Resort Area. It should be noted, though, that the BoardWalk Deli will not be moving into the ESPN club’s former space. Click the link below to read our coverage of that story.

The BoardWalk Bakery is a beloved part of the BoardWalk’s culinary experience, which includes other options such as BoardWalk Ice Cream, Trattoria Al Forno, AbracadaBar, and Flying Fish. It is unclear at this time just how the addition of the deli aspects will affect its sweet tooth.
