You’ve probably already heard of the new Walt Disney Animation Studios movieĀ Encanto — whether it’s because you’ve heard about its stellar reviews, catchy record-breaking music, or because you’ve watched the movie on repeat on Disney+ yourself — but did you know that the movie has its own makeup line? Disney had partnered up with Alamar Cosmetics to create an Encanto makeup collection back in November, and surprisingly most of the Encanto makeup collection hasn’t sold out!

Normally Disney-inspired limited-edition makeup collections that are based on Disney movies (such as this Nightmare Before Christmas collection or thisĀ Alice in Wonderland collection) are hard to find and highly sought-after. The fact that thisĀ Encanto makeup collection hasn’t sold out yet is particularly surprising because the makeup is so vibrant and fun!

Alamar Cosmetics is a Latinx-owned company whose staff were apparently “moved and inspired by the way Disney’s Encanto uplifts and showcases Latinos” as well as its “celebration of large extended families, diversity of skin tones, food, music, and culture”. With themes of self-love and optimism throughout its development, this Encanto makeup collection is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the culture of the Madrigal family inĀ Encanto or who feels a kinship with its characters.

The only makeup in the Encanto collection that has actually sold out so far is the eye bundle (containing the eyeshadow palette, the eyeliners, and the eye makeup brushes), and the bundle that included the entire collection. The individual eyeshadow palette is sold out on the company website, but it’s still available on shopDisney! We’re not surprised that the vibrant eyeshadows have sold out, because apparently the eyeshadows are “buildable and result in minimal fallout”.

The makeup is all reasonably priced, with most items ranging between $13 and $22 in price (the bundles are a bit more expensive, but you get several products in one bundle). The products also have clever names, like the “Mira, Bella” lip. If you want to buy something, but aren’t sure what, we’d recommend going for the face bundle of blushes, highlighter, and brushes.

The Encanto Sun Soaked highlighter is called “Flex Alert” in a reference to Luisa Madrigal; the pink Encanto Colorete Powder Blush in the Encanto makeup collection is called “I’m Blawesome”,Ā  and the coral or peach Encanto Colorete Powder Blush is called “Hermosa Rosa”. There is also longwear lip gloss and longwear lip liner available!
