During this morning’s Destination D23 event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, fans were given a first look at some of the new areas coming to the Disneyland Hotel! As one of the most beloved Disney resorts anywhere, the Disneyland Hotel is a true focal point of the Disneyland Resort, and the new enhancements coming to the hotel look incredible!  Here are some of the details:

A newly designed tower will be added to the hotel with architectural features and artwork taking inspiration from classic Disney animation. Some of the exterior panels will even feature a little bit of pixie dust from Tinker Bell herself!

The outdoor pool area and kids water play area will be designed with inspiration from an artists’ palette. (While we were only shown very brief previews of the design during Destination D23, we are definitely getting some vibes that remind us of Animator’s Palette, one of the most popular restaurants aboard Disney Cruise Line!)

Guest rooms at the new tower at the Disneyland will be inspired by Disney animated films (the rendering shown at Destination D23 today depicted a room with design features inspired by ‘Sleeping Beauty.’)

In addition to all of the above features of the new tower at the Disneyland Resort, Disney Imagineers are planning on sharing the details soon for brand new recreational areas and different types of guest rooms that will be available when the tower opens.

The Disneyland Hotel is a fan-favorite place to stay while visiting Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure with many details giving nods to unique and memorable points in Disney history (monorail slides for the pool, anyone?) all within steps of the parks and Downtown Disney.

We do not yet have an opening date or pricing for rooms in the new tower, but will keep you posted here on Disney Fanatic as we have more details.
