EPCOT's World Showcase Sees More Changes
For decades, the EPCOT World Showcase has been a fan-favorite destination, allowing guests to explore different cultures through eleven immersive pavilions featuring food, entertainment, and architecture inspired by real-world locations. But now, the Canada Pavilion is seeing mysterious updates that leave guests questioning what's next for Disney's international experience.
Disney has already made quiet changes to EPCOT's international landscape, including the removal of two international soda flavors from Club Cool. While theme park guests have speculated about the reasons behind these changes, Disney has yet to issue an official statement explaining the strategy behind them.
Canada Pavilion Construction Raises Questions
The first signs of change in the Canada Pavilion appeared in June 2023, when construction walls suddenly blocked access to the Hotel du Canada facade, a key element of the pavilion's architecture. Over time, scaffolding has appeared, disappeared, and returned, further deepening the mystery of what Disney has planned.
According to WDWNT, construction in the area has been ongoing, with scaffolding and new roofing elements visible near the pavilion's entrance. While these updates could be routine, Disney Parks fans can't help but speculate whether the Canada Pavilion is undergoing a larger transformation.
Will EPCOT Announce More World Showcase Changes?
Disney recently filed a construction permit for “installing signage” within the Canada Pavilion, but the company has provided no additional details. It's unclear whether the modified area will be accessible to Disney Park guests.
