Many people love traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with friends or family. They love experiencing all the magic of the theme parks with those who are important to them. However, there are also a lot of people who love to travel to Disney World by themselves. They enjoy doing what they want, when they want, and not worrying about what anyone else wants to do.

Disney knows that not everyone travels to its theme parks with a group, and that not everyone wants to ride every attraction. That is why there are attractions at the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom that have single-rider lines. Of course, groups can join the single rider line, but they must be aware that they will be split up.
One woman recently traveled to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and decided to join the single-rider line for Expedition Everest. Expedition Everest takes guests on a thrilling journey through the Himalayan Mountains. Their journey takes a dramatic turn when they encounter the mystical Yeti, who is not happy that his territory is being invaded.
TikToker Kristy (@mickeygurutravel) said that, when she was next in the single rider line, she saw a cast member talk to a woman in the stands queue. The woman said she was riding alone, which surprised the cast member. The cast member put the woman in the last row, and then told Kristy to also go to the last row.
The woman turned around and told Kristy that she had waited in the standby queue so she could have a role to herself. Kristy was surprised and told the woman that that’s not how it works. The cast members don’t just let people ride alone — that is why the single-rider queue is there.
But the unknown guest wasn’t having it. She pulled down her sunglasses and told Kristy to get out of the row because she was riding by herself. Kristy was left speechless.
@mickeygurutravel Disney Karen… That’s NOT how any of this works. #disneyanimalkingdom #disneypark #disneyparks #karensinthewild
Thankfully, because they were in the last row, a cast member was nearby and heard what was going on. The cast member told the guest that she could not have the row to herself and that she would be riding with Kristy.
The fuming guest then whipped her bag around and stormed out of line. Wasting all the time that she had waited in line, all because she would not be given a row to herself.
Please be aware that, whether you are in the single-rider line or the standby queue, it is unlikely that you will get a row to yourself. Many cast members are more than happy to put you in the section of the ride you want to be in — like the front row or the back. However, they will not give you a row to yourself while other guests wait.
