These days, Disney discontent often seems to be replacing Disney magic — especially when it comes to Disney Park or Disney Resort Guests, who have been misbehaving, trespassing, fistfighting, or harassing already-beleaguered Cast Members on unprecedented levels. However, there was one very significant occasion in recent years when a Disney Guest brought a bit of Disney magic — and positivity — back into Walt Disney World Resort!
During a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, a Boston Conservatory alum and trained opera singer (who is also a voice teacher in Connecticut) wowed onlookers in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
Singer and voice teacher Justin Gigliello was visiting the Grand Floridian during a Disney vacation, and enjoying a dance with his daughter Lyla alongside the lobby pianist who was playing the piano in the Resort’s main area.
Lyla told the pianist about her father’s singing skills after the dance, and convinced the pianist to play a rendition of “Ave Maria” that could accompany Gigliello’s singing.
Gigliello then astounded the other Grand Floridian visitors with his operatic performance of the classic song, alongside some classical music accompaniment from the pianist, and was met with significant praise after the magical surprise performance ended.
The opera singer and Florida visitor actually made the news after this video went viral; take a look at the impromptu singing session in the Youtube video shown below!
Justin Gigliello has capitalized on his viral moment in the sun since 2019 when this magical singing session first happened, and he now has a Youtube channel where he shares many of his live performances. Gigliello has also been performing live; you can find out more on his website here!
