Find 50th Anniversary Treats & Activities at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Fort Wilderness Campground

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground always feels a bit out of the way for Guests to visit who are not staying there, but we may be able to entice you to take the ride over during “The Most Magical Celebration on Earth” thanks to the property’s unique offerings you won’t find anywhere else at Walt Disney World!

P&J’s Southern Takeout, a quick service restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, has special dessert on the menu just for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World- The Chicken Dinner Cupcake Trio is truly one of the most unique cupcake offerings at Walt Disney World and it needs to be added to your list if you are taking a cupcake crawl around the parks and resorts on your next trip.

The trio comes with the Fried Chicken Cupcake, which is actually an apple fritter with apple pie moonshine filling and topped with buttercream frosting. (I am honestly shocked that it sounds that tasty, given the over the top cupcakes like this one are usually all about looks but this one seems different…)

The Peas and Carrots Cupcake is made with a strawberry moonshine custard, white chocolate frosting, and M&M’s Mini “peas.” This cupcake is just adorable, if you ask me.

The last cupcake in the trio is the Mock Mashed Potato Cupcake, made with  SNICKERS, caramel buttercream, and STARBURST “butter.” This one sounds like it might be just a little sweet for my personal preference, but on the whole the trio sounds delicious!

Disney has also debuted a special scavenger hunt activity just for Guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground that celebrates the history of this c. 1971 Walt Disney World Resort. On top of this and all of the above, Guests at the resort and campground can pick up special edition refillable mugs for “The Most Magical Celebration on Earth,” and may seem some specially wrapped EARidescent buses as they make their way around Walt Disney World.
