Flipping Figment – Guests Already Selling Popcorn Bucket at $100+ Markup

One little spark of inspiration has turned into a crazed sensation!

Walt Disney World Resort’s limited edition Figment Popcorn Bucket was released to Guests at EPCOT on the morning of January 14. The merchandise is already up for sale online at far higher prices than found at EPCOT.

For those looking to score at EPCOT, Figment is reportedly being sold for $25. On eBay, it’s a different story. Disney’s latest popcorn bucket is being sold at over 10x the original price! The highest of which–seen so far–is $270. Several items are also being auctioned off, with scores of bids already being placed.

Flipping Disney merchandise–the practice of buying something only to turn around and sell it for a profit–is rumored to be common among Disney fans, especially when it comes to new and limited edition products. Whether or not the rumors are true, it does appear that Guests lucky enough to have gotten a Figment early are looking to take serious advantage. The only question is, is Figment really worth these prices?

The Figment Popcorn Bucket is exclusively sold at EPCOT and is a special addition to the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which also began today, January 14. The World Showcase festival is set to feature several wonderful music, culinary, and artistic experiences for the whole family.
