The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is beginning on March 2 in Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disney Parks Blog has just released a Foodie Guide for the Disney World Outdoor Kitchen event! There are close to 20 Outdoor Kitchens that will be offering a flavorful mix of foods and beverages to Disney Guests, including “a perfectly harvested combination of new delights”!
Hungry EPCOT Guests should begin by collecting their Festival Passport, which is a passport that allows them to get stamps (and collect an exclusive reward at the Pineapple Promenade) after enjoying all five “delicious dishes” from the Garden Graze list.
Next, you’ll want to stop by the Flavor Full Kitchen Hosted by AdventHealth for a light, warm-weather meal: seared salmon with farro risotto and micro herbs, complemented by a food item like some strawberry mousse with chocolate-crisp pearls.
Another highlight (especially if you’re like Winnie the Pooh and you love honey) will be The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by the National Honey Board! You can try everything honey at this kitchen, from Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread to Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake (featuring “orange blossom honey whipped cream, whipped honey, crystalized honey, honeycomb, dehydrated honey, and fennel pollen meringue kisses”).
Canada’s Refreshment Port has a Lavender Martini that sounds divine, and there are lots of promising alcoholic beverages on the menus of these kitchens to please adult Guests!
EPCOT Guests seeking a more plant-based food item will want to head to the Trowel & Trellis Hosted by Impossible™ (which can be found near Disney Traders) for the Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib with cilantro-lime rice, Danmuji slaw, and Kimchee Mayonnaise — and those same Guests will want to try the new Chocolate Cake with whipped cassis mousse and raspberry gelato!
Each Outdoor Kitchen in the World Showcase within EPCOT will have menu offerings to suit the theme of its nearby country in the World Showcase, but there are also lots of fresh options to suit springtime even if the country is known as a warm-weather one!
In the United Kingdom within the World Showcase, the Cider House has a special brand-new BLT Scone (featuring Nueske’s applewood-smoked bacon) that also has enough sundried tomato and basil to feel summery.
In France’s Fleur de Lys, you won’t want to miss the new Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et Ail Rôtie (which is a “croissant with goat cheese, herbs, and roasted garlic”) or the Pan Bagnat Classique (a “Niçoise Sandwich with house-made bread, albacore tuna mayonnaise, tomato, black olives, lettuce, and celery”).
With offerings like this, the 2022 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will definitely be a satisfying blend of light, warm-weather fare and World Showcase signature styles. You can see the full Foodie Guide here! Are you going to participate in the Garden Graze, or focus on every country in the World Showcase plaza and then head over to the Garden Rocks Concert Series?
