The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival typically takes most of the limelight when it comes to Disney events that involve special menus, but Disneyland Resort is about to take its turn in March and April with its own Food and Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure!
Kelsey Lynch, the Public Relations Director for Disneyland Resort, headed onto the Disney Parks Blog to share the menu highlights from this Food & Wine Festival that serves as an “exciting celebration of California’s diverse cultures and cuisines”!
Since Californian communities and cuisine are meant to be the focus of this Disneyland festival, there will be 12 Festival Marketplaces in the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival — and they will all be serving unique California beverages and petite treats. Pym Tasting Lab and Terran Treats will also have some limited-edition festival menu items for Disneyland Resort Guests to try, as will Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort!
As with the Disneyland Resort Lunar New Year offerings, Disneyland Guests can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass to get eight coupons “redeemable for select food and nonalcoholic beverages at participating locations”. If you’re planning on trying lots of snacks and nonalcoholic drinks during this Festival, then a Sip and Savor Pass might be worth the investment!
Delicious treats aren’t the only perk coming to Guests during this Festival; the Hollywood Backlot in Hollywood Land is also going to be offering a limited-time event for junior chefs inspired by the animated series Alice’s Wonderland Bakery. Children ages 3 through 11 can participate in hands-on cupcake decorating, and you can sign up 45 minutes before each show! Keep an eye out for “Chef Goofy” or Chip ‘n’ Dale as well!
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be coming to the Disneyland Resort on March 4 and lasting through April 26, and adult Guests won’t want to miss the live cooking demonstrations taking place on the Festival weekends! On Saturdays and Sundays, the Hollywood Backlot Stage will be graced by the presence of both Disney and non-Disney chefs. These chefs “will prepare their favorite dishes and share insider tips for making mouthwatering meals at home”.
If you fancy yourself a mixologist, then you can also attend some special “signature events” for an additional fee. These events include the Carthay Circle Winemaker Reception and the special wine, beer and mixology seminars at Sonoma Terrace.
As a final perk of attending this Disneyland Festival, Guests will be able to enjoy Soarin’ Over California as it returns for the Festival! As Kelsey put it in the blog post, “once again, you can relish the unforgettable sights, sounds and scents of the Golden State aboard this high-flying attraction”.
