Audiences are so fed up with the quality of a lot of Disney’s productions that some believe that AI can do a better job than the Mouse House.

The Walt Disney Company has been facing a lot of criticism lately for the quality of its productions and films. The company has been criticized for the lackluster storytelling and “woke” narratives in its live-action and animated films. However, recently, one fan took that criticism to a new level by insinuating that even Artificial Intelligence was more capable than Disney.

Fans Share Stunning Animation of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book

For years now, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Studios have led the field with their incredible work and animated films. From classics like Cinderella and The Jungle Book to modern favorites like Moana and Encanto, the studio has given audiences some truly amazing movies to enjoy.

One account took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a pencil test of Shere Khan from The Jungle Book by Milt Kahl. The fan shared, “Nothing will ever beat seeing the incredible craft of animation made by humans. So much personality and artistry in their works.”

Many fans seconded this opinion, opining, “What’s odd but also very satisfying to watch in Shere Khan is the seamless mixture of caricature and very lifelike anatomy and movement. Just perfect!”

One recalled the new AI trend and wrote, “Ai could NEVER make something this elegant and powerful as Milt Kahl’s pencil animations.”

(Fans will remember that Artificial Intelligence (particularly the AI art generator and Bing image creator) has made its presence felt recently with the fake posters of rumored animated movies.)

However, there were some fans who believed that Disney had lost its way so much that “AI may as well have more soul than Disney.”

It’s certainly a controversial view in a world that criticizes AI for taking the life and emotion out of creative works.
