Visitors from all over the world flock to the park to relive their favorite Disney moments, whether it’s taking a spin on classic rides like Space Mountain or enjoying the whimsical world of Journey of the Little Mermaid.

The Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, a fan favorite since its opening in 2012, takes guests on an unforgettable underwater journey with Ariel and her friends. The ride is known for its vibrant scenes, iconic music, and delightful storytelling, making it a must-see for any Disney guest.
However, what some guests recently encountered at the entrance of the ride was far from the fairy tale they were expecting.
A surprise swarm of bees gathered around the area near the ride, sending guests into a frenzy of confusion and concern.

The post quickly went viral as other Disney fans weighed in, shocked by the unexpected appearance of the swarm in one of the busiest areas of the park.
As the bees swarmed, some guests voiced their worries about the safety of others, especially those who may have bee allergies. The thought of a bee sting causing a safety risk at such a high-traffic attraction raised concerns for many park-goers.
Even if its just bees that is dangerous what if a gust that’s allergic gets stung?
I thought Disney removes these from their property?

While there were valid concerns, many fans couldn’t resist adding some humor to the situation. They blamed the bees on Ursula and said that she was mad about Disney deciding to drain the Rivers of America and overhaul a large portion of Fantasyland.
Ursula summoned her flying fiends because they drained the river water 🤣 wow hope Disney removes it safely I’m sure they got a bee hive dark somewhere in the park.
Regardless of the speculation, the moment was a reminder of the unpredictable nature of an outdoor park like Disney World.

Those familiar with bees reassured concerned visitors that the swarm wasn’t as dangerous as it seemed. “Funny enough, this is a common thing bees do. They are protecting their queen. They will move on in a day.”Â
While bees can be a nuisance, they are not typically aggressive unless provoked, making the situation less alarming than it may have appeared at first glance.
As for Disney, the company has long worked to balance the need for conservation with the safety of its guests. With misters in place to help deter bees and other insects from high-traffic areas, the company does what it can to minimize such encounters.

However, the reality of having an outdoor park means that bees and other insects are often part of the experience.
Despite the swarm, the ride quickly returned to normal, and guests continued their magical day at the park. This was not the first time bees have made their presence felt at Walt Disney World, with other reports detailing similar occurrences around outdoor attractions. However, this surprise event was certainly one that guests won’t forget.
As you make your way through the Magic Kingdom, be sure to embrace the unexpected—whether it’s a sudden change in weather, a surprise appearance by a beloved character, or perhaps even a swarm of bees making a cameo at one of your favorite rides.
