‘Harry Potter’ Actress Breaks Silence on Joining Controversial Explicit Platform

In 1997, an unknown British author, J.K. Rowling, released her first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, a book that would go on to change the world. The book quickly gained massive popularity, and two years later, Rowling published the second installment, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Over the course of the series, she wrote seven books: Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and The Deathly Hallows, all of which became some of the most iconic books ever written.

Four years after the first Harry Potter book was released, Warner Bros. debuted the first film adaptation of the series. The films eventually gained even more popularity than the books themselves, with eight movies made, as The Deathly Hallows was split into two parts.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince introduced Lavender Brown, a Gryffindor determined to fight against Lord Voldemort’s forces. A member of Dumbledore’s Army, Lavender developed feelings for Ron Weasley, and they briefly became a couple, though their relationship didn’t last long.

Sadly, Lavender was killed by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback during the final battle at Hogwarts.

In an unexpected career move, actress Jessie Cave, best known for playing Lavender Brown, has turned heads by revealing that she has joined OnlyFans.

On March 10, 2025, Cave made the bold decision to start her own page on the platform, but with a unique twist.

Rather than offering explicit content, her OnlyFans will focus on something distinctly niche: the sounds her hair makes.

While some may expect OnlyFans pages to be focused on more explicit material, Cave’s page is centered on a fetish for hair sounds, described as sensual but not sexual.

The move is especially surprising given Cave’s established acting career. Aside from her Harry Potter role, where she played the loveable yet tragic Lavender Brown, Cave has appeared in a variety of other films and television shows, including Great Expectations, Call the Midwife, and Glue.

Despite the typecasting some might expect from her time in the wizarding world, Cave has proven to be versatile in her acting career. Yet, her latest project diverges dramatically from what fans have come to expect.

On her Substack page, Cave addressed the backlash she received after announcing her OnlyFans venture, particularly from fans questioning her decision as a mother.

“I have had loads of positive comments, most of which along the lines of ‘you go girl’ – always massively appreciated. And yeah I’ve had some ‘as a mother are you even thinking of what your kids might ask when they’re older?’

“Now, this is where I get a little angry.”

“A common conception seems to be that because I’m a mother, I shouldn’t be doing anything for myself at all….no no! Mothers must only do wholesome, bouncy content so that when their kids grow up they will be able to scroll back and appreciate that their mothers did nothing but mother them from the second they were born.”

Beyond exploring the culture of hair fetishes, Cave’s primary reason for joining OnlyFans is financial. While she’s had a steady acting career, she revealed that she has joined the platform in part to address some financial struggles.

“It’s about getting out of debt,” Cave admitted, highlighting that even successful actors sometimes need additional streams of income to support their families.

Despite her acting career, which includes roles in beloved television dramas, Cave has turned to OnlyFans as a practical solution for her personal finances.

While Cave’s move to OnlyFans may seem like an unexpected departure from her past roles, it’s part of a larger trend where celebrities are turning to the platform to explore new ways of engaging with their audiences and generating income.

As she embarks on this new journey, Cave is focused on enjoying the experience and learning more about the community she is becoming a part of. “I’m excited to learn more about the culture of hair fetishes,” Cave shared.

With no interest in appeasing online trolls or critics, she plans to continue creating content on her own terms.
