‘Harry Potter’ Alum Reportedly Blacklisted From Franchise Event Over OnlyFans

When Jessie Cave appeared in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009, she joined the franchise as Lavender Brown, Ron Weasley’s girlfriend during one of the series’ most memorable teenage storylines. She later returned for the Battle of Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Like many actors tied to the franchise, Cave continued to attract attention from fans long after the films ended through conventions, panels, and online communities. But the actor has revealed that a more personal project has complicated that relationship in ways she didn’t expect.

Cave, now a mother of four with comedian Alfie Brown, launched her OnlyFans account in March 2025. She described it as a creative way to share “lighthearted, sensual” content focused on her hair, framing the project as a source of financial support for her family and home renovations. “No spells, no nudity,” she emphasized, noting her posts lean toward playful storytelling rather than explicit content.

Jessie Cave Opens Up on OnlyFans Journey

OnlyFans is best known as a subscription site often associated with adult performers, though it has expanded to include musicians, comedians, fitness influencers, and more. For many creators, the platform offers a direct way to monetize their work. Still, its reputation has proven difficult to separate from pornography, something Cave now finds herself reckoning with.

In a Substack essay titled Only Wingardium Nakediosa, she revealed the impact of that perception. “I found out that I didn’t get booked for a Harry Potter convention recently, as I’m now doing OnlyFans,” she wrote. “They explained it was because it’s a ‘family show and OnlyFans is affiliated with porn.’ This was baffling to me… I’m just playing with my hair!”

Her comments highlight the delicate balance for actors tied to major family-friendly franchises. Fan events and conventions remain lucrative and highly visible, but they often enforce strict reputational boundaries. For Cave, the incident underlines how her creative independence may come at the cost of those industry opportunities.

Closing One Chapter, Opening Another

Despite the setback, Cave suggested she is not particularly disheartened. With Warner Bros. Discovery producing a Harry Potter reboot for HBO, she acknowledged the franchise is entering a new era. “There’s going to be a new cast now and it’s a different time,” she said, reflecting on her long run with fan conventions. “I have enough photos and wizard memorabilia,” she added, implying her chapter with the series may be winding down naturally.

Still, Cave was candid about the personal pressures of her new side career. “Self-worth has become entwined with my statistics,” she admitted, describing the competitive intensity of maintaining an audience on OnlyFans.

The essay paints a portrait of an actress exploring unconventional creative work while juggling motherhood and residual fame from one of the most successful film franchises of all time. PEOPLE reported that it reached out to Cave for clarification on the convention incident, but did not receive a response.

For now, she seems determined to continue. Cave framed her OnlyFans project as “an experiment in independence” — one that brings both freedom and friction, reshaping the way she navigates her long-standing relationship with the Harry Potter fandom.
