After leaving Disneyland Park in Anaheim, five people were involved in two separate hit-and-run accidents with the same car, Anaheim police said. Of the five people who were hit, one woman died, and the other four, including one child, sustained various injuries.

The first incident took place along Harbor Boulevard just south of Katella Avenue when a car plowed into a group of people trying to cross the street. The vehicle continued down Harbor Boulevard and turned onto Convention Way, where the woman was fatally injured. After the second hit-and-run with pedestrians, the man backed his car into an Orange County transit bus and hit an SUV and truck before speeding away.
John Bilyk was playing his guitar in the area and witnessed the second accident. He told Anaheim Police that he saw the woman and child crossing the street when they were hit by a gold Toyota Camry. A group of people gathered around the victims, so Bilyk ran to the car to check on the driver, who had temporarily stopped the vehicle. Bilyk knocked on the window and saw a man in a yellow shirt in the driver’s seat.
I knocked on the window. He said some vulgar language and gave me a hand gesture and I was almost run over.
After nearly hitting Bilyk, the Anaheim Police Department said that the driver continued down S Harbor Boulevard toward Convention Way.
Unlike at Walt Disney World in Central Florida, the Disneyland Resort has a number of guests who walk to the theme parks from neighboring hotels, and accidents frequently occur. In September, a guest drove his car into the Toy Story parking area guard shack at the Disneyland Resort. A few weeks before that incident, there was a tram accident. After a busy day at the parks, a guest tram headed to the parking lot crashed into another tram, leaving guests stranded at the Disneyland Resort.
