Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides Return to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside in February

Entertainment and recreational offerings are continuing to return to the Walt Disney World Resort! Early in 2022, Guests will once again be able to relax with a leisurely carriage ride around Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Here are the details so you can book your next ride:

Horse-drawn carriage rides at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside take Guests on a leisurely excursion along the banks of the Sassagoula River that runs alongside the resort. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is one of my favorite places to stay, with all of the beautiful details in wrought iron fencing, fountains, festive atmosphere at bars like the Scat Cat’s Club, and so much more, and a carriage ride is a great way to see most of the property while enjoying a leisurely and unique activity.

Carriage rides last for approximately 25 minutes and depart from the Riverside Levee Marina at the resort. Each carriage can accommodate up to four adults or two adults and three small children (if you only have two adults, a carriage ride could be a fun date night activity!)

Rides cost $55 and reservations may be booked in advance by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Reservations are currently available up to 60 days in advance. While you may have some luck scoring a reservation during your vacation, we would recommend booking ahead if you able to as they may sell out, especially during the busier times of the year.

Carriage rides return to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside on February 4, 2022. If you are visiting in January, horse-drawn carriage rides return to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground on January 7, 2022. And, if you happen to be visiting before the end of this month, holiday sleigh rides are currently running at Fort Wilderness through the end of December. Reservations for the holiday rides are priced at $75, and may be made by calling (407) 939-7529.
