Stars—they’re (not quite) like us! Unsurprisingly, big-name celebrities are getting ahead of The Little Mermaid‘s world premiere. While Halle Bailey’s Ariel officially becomes a part of our world today, some celebs prefer to witness her debut where the people aren’t.
Celebrities Supporting the New Ariel
Throughout the “blue carpet” appearances from LA to Sydney, Australia, famous folks have come out of the woodwork to support the new film.
An unlikely Ariel fan, Offset, graced the LA premiere with daughters Kulture and Kalea, star-struck by the real-life Ariel. Check out their adorable encounter here:
A-Lister Serena Williams’s daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., got a special message from Halle Bailey, and the superstar has been vocal about her support for The Little Mermaid.
But one larger-than-life family hosted a premiere party, which was extravagant in true Kardashian fashion.

A Kardashian-Jenner Cinematic Event
Good American Co-Founder, Khloe Kardashian, decked out an entire theater at Cinepolis USA for her daughter, True, and kids from the Karshanian-Jenner family to catch a first glimpse of The Little Mermaid movie.
The reality star took to social media to share peeks into the magical night, featuring cuddly Flounder and Sebastian stuffies, Little Mermaid LEGO sets, Mickey Ears inspired by the movie, and Ariel dolls resembling Halle Bailey.
Throughout several Instagram Stories, the reality tv mogul shared adorable reactions from the Kardashian kids as they geared up to watch the film. In one of the now-retired posts, Khloe said:
You have no idea how special tonight was! @hallebailey you are absolute perfection! Thank you! Everyone in the movie was pure magic! @melissamccarthy always does something to me! Bravo to everyone!
In a heartwarming Instagram post, the Hulu show star shared a carousel of mermaid-inspired memories, reeling in a comment from Bailey’s older sister, Chlöe Bailey, with heart-eye emojis. Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, was cheesing with True in the posts, who wore a shirt with Aunt Kylie Jenner showcased on the front. The post also featured a custom cup with The Little Mermaid cover art lining it and a clip from the film.
With The Little Mermaid officially released to the public, this is likely the first of many celebrity posts about Halley Bailey’s performance as Ariel. More importantly, we’ll see countless clips of cute kiddos reminiscent of the viral video from the trailer’s sneak peek.
The Little Mermaid is in theaters now, featuring Halle Bailey as Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Awkwafina as Scuttle, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, and Javier Bardem as King Triton.
