Almost two years since Disney World reopened after the pandemic-inspired closure, and Guests are still missing a lot of aspects of their old Theme Park Experience. One of those aspects is the fleet of Minnie Vans.
Operated by Lyft in a special partnership with Disney, Minnie Vans became the official rideshare option for Guests who wanted to move about The Walt Disney World Resort, as well as get to and from Orlando International Airport, without worrying about driving themselves or relying on Disney public transportation. As the name suggests, the fleet of SUVs was–and still is–styled in the likeness of Minnie Mouse, painted bright red with white polka dots.
Minnie Van operations ceased when the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and every other Disney Park and Resort the world over closed their gates due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

But we have just received confirmation from a Cast Member at the Walt Disney Travel Company that all of those private ground transportation options are coming to an end. While there is still no official word on the Minnie Vans, it would make sense for such a decision to precede the Minnie Van’s return as Disney is eliminating all direct partnerships with the competition.
Last week, while at EPCOT, this writer also caught a glimpse of what appeared to be the entire Minnie Van fleet moved to the Disney Park’s parking lot. While there is no connection between the congregation and its return, the sight sparked a glimmer of hope that a Disney-Quality rideshare option would return soon.
It should be noted that the following article is pure speculation, and no official word from Disney about the Minnie Van’s return has been released.
