Jersey Man Arrested for Watching Porn and Smoking on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Disney fans sometimes say walking into any of the Walt Disney World Resort Parks is like returning home. But lately, some Guests have taken the idea of “being home” a little too far. From Guests bathing in the fountains in France at EPCOT to Guests jumping on parade floats to Guests taking off their clothes, things have gone a little too far.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, this happened. A New Jersey man was arrested for watching pornography and smoking while riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France Pavilion.

According to the arrest report from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Fitzpatrick of Elizabeth, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor exposing of his sex organs. After he was arrested, it was revealed that Fitzpatrick had warrants for his arrest in New Jersey and California for sex crimes.

On March 29, Fitzpatrick entered a cart at Remy’s Ratatouille’s Adventure around 9:15 p.m. He asked a Cast Member if he could ride in the cart alone. The coaches for Remy’s Ratatouille usually run with four rides inside. The Cast Members running the ride thought that Fitzpatrick’s behavior was suspicious.

Once the ride started, Fitzpatrick lit a cigarette. The Cast Members monitoring the video stopped the ride and announced that smoking was not permitted on the ride. According to the arrest report, the ride continued, and once it did, Fitzpatrick started watching pornography on his cell phone.

Cast Members in the video room contacted security and the police once Fitzpatrick started watching porn on his phone. For a second time, Fitzpatrick began to smoke. The ride was stopped again, and Cast Members announced that smoking was prohibited. After the ride started again, Fitzpatrick began to masturbate through his pants.

Fitzpatrick removed his penis from his pants and urinated in the rat cart. When the ride ended, Disney security was waiting to escort Fitzpatrick away from the crowds and waited for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department to arrive.

It should go without saying that Disney records everything that happens on its rides. The video of Fitzpatrick was turned over to the OCSO. This won’t surprise anyone, but Disney banned Fitzpatrick from its Parks.

One of the Cast Members in the video room was training on her first day on the job. At least she’ll have an interesting story about her first day at Walt Disney World.

Fitzpatrick is facing up to a year in Florida prison for his offense and will be extradited to New Jersey to face charges of improper sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
