Visiting Walt Disney World Resort is a very exciting — but also very exhausting — experience. Days are long, lines can feel even longer, and, if you visit during the Spring and Summer months, the heat can be brutal. A great way to escape the heat and refuel for your evening in the Parks is to head back to your Disney hotel and maybe take a dip in one of the great swimming pools. Each and every Disney hotel has swimming pools to help Guests relax and have fun. Aside from Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, Disney World theme parks do not have swimming pools.
But that didn’t stop some Guests from taking a dip.
TikToker Shana Reed (@magicbyshana) recently visited EPCOT. The theme park is in the midst of hosting the popular International Flower & Garden Festival. While walking by the France pavilion when she saw something that surprised not only her, but other Guests. A group of Guests in matching t-shirts were floating in the fountain. Not soaking their feet (still not acceptable), but full-on floating in the water. A man and woman were floating, fully clothed, as another woman in the group was standing over them as they were talking. Other members of their party were standing around the fountain.

Guests walked in front of the camera and can be seen staring at the Guests, also shocked by what they were seeing.
The video quickly made the rounds on Twitter, where Twitter investigators went to work and identified the offending Guests.
The group in the Epcot fountain in Disney World’s Epcot is cheer team called Perfect Storm Athletics. They are from Edmonton, Alberta. Hope they get disqualified and banned. #CheerWorlds2023

The Walt Disney World website does not specifically say that Guests should not swim in the fountains. However, the Guest courtesy rules do state:
Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.
Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of the Walt Disney World Resort or any part thereof.
We get it; being in Walt Disney World is unlike any other place on the face of the planet. It is a magical place where dreams come true and memories are made. When you drive through the gates, it seems that nothing bad can happen.
However, Walt Disney World Resort is still in the real world. Guests still need to act with a certain level of respect. Fountains are not for swimming. If you want to swim, go back to your hotel. If you want to cool off while in a Disney Park, head into a store or an attraction, as they are all air-conditioned.
