Back in March, news broke that Marvel star Jonathan Majors had been arrested on serious charges of domestic violence, including strangulation. Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, said that the two got into an argument that ended with Majors breaking her finger, twisting her arm, and hitting her so hard that it caused her ear to bleed. Majors claimed that the fight was not started by him, and even publicly shared text messages to help prove his innocence. Unfortunately for him, the text messages seemed to prove that he did strike Jabbari, but she blamed herself for what happened.
On June 20, Majors appeared in court alongside his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, and his girlfriend, Meagan Good. During the trial, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star held a bible, a book of poetry, and an empty mug. The court appearance only lasted a few minutes, with the judge setting Majors’ trial date for August 3. The day after his court appearance, Majors visited a Chinatown, NY police precinct and spoke to police about what happened to him. He then filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari.
Here is more on the cross-complaint, per Insider:
Majors walked into the Chinatown precinct and gave police his own version of what actually happened that night — alleging that a “drunk and hysterical” Jabbari scratched, slapped, and grabbed at his face, causing pain and bleeding, according to a domestic incident report and sworn affidavit obtained by Insider.
A second NYPD precinct — the one that covers Majors’ penthouse address in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood — is also involved in investigating the actor’s counter-claims against Jabbari…
Both precincts determined that there was probable cause to arrest Jabbari and issued what is called an “I-Card”. An “I-card”, or “incident card”, is a digital document that allows police to arrest Jabbari. However, the District Attorney’s office seems reluctant to prosecute the woman and said that the “I-card was deactivated.”
On June 18, video footage was shared on Twitter that appeared to show Jabbari acting carefree just hours after she claimed Majors broke her finger.

Despite the video footage, and the police investigation that appears to back up Majors’ claims against Jabbari, Jabbari has not been arrested or brought back in for further questioning. In addition to Majors claiming that he was the one who was attacked, he also claims that his ex-girlfriend stole a vintage Rolex watch and other items that total between $6,000 and $7,000.
Majors has denied the allegations against him since the beginning. He has also said that the investigation against him is a “witch hunt” and has claimed racial bias in police action towards him.
Sadly, Majors is not the only Marvel star facing some serious charges. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star Tenoch Huerta — who played Namor in the film — was accused of being a violent sexual predator. Huerta has also denied the allegations against him. He recently announced that he had dropped out of a Netflix movie while he works to clear his name.
