For more than three decades, Jurassic Park (1993) has fired up imaginations with its perfect blend of awe and terror. Now, for the first time, fans won’t just be spectators—they’ll be survivors. Universal and Saber Interactive’s “Jurassic Park: Survival” promises to put players directly into the perilous wonderland of Isla Nublar, building a digital playground that is equal parts wonder and nightmare.
Unlike previous tie-ins that focus on park management or arcade-style adventures, this upcoming first-person action-adventure is taking a more immersive route.
The game's Isla Nublar is described as “fully realized,” and a new behind-the-scenes featurette reveals the scale of that ambition. Familiar landmarks like the Visitor Center, the main road, and iconic park gates are there, but so are maintenance tunnels, a half-finished hotel, and other areas that were left unseen and only hinted at in Steven Spielberg’s 1993 blockbuster.
In the video, Jurassic World Project Executive Lisa St. Amand explains: “It’s really exciting to be able to translate this incredible film into a video game because you really have the opportunity to go much deeper into the film.”
That depth extends to the dinosaurs themselves, which have been painstakingly modeled to replicate Stan Winston’s original and unforgettable designs, while also expanding the roster with species audiences never saw in the movie.

John Melchior, Executive Producer at Universal Products & Experiences, emphasizes the team's commitment to authenticity: “We go through room by room in the game, level by level. We look at every possible resource from archives from the film, from production stills, from production blueprints, to make sure every prop is in the same place.”
With Isla Nublar recreated in such meticulous detail, “Jurassic Park: Survival” isn’t just a nostalgia trip—it’s a chance to inhabit the world of the first film in a way audiences could only imagine in 1993. The terror of raptors stalking the dark kitchen or the awe of seeing the T. rex up close in a thunderstorm will no longer be confined to the big screen.
