More than three decades after Jurassic Park first roared into theaters, fans are about to experience Isla Nublar like never before. Universal and Saber Interactive recently pulled back the curtain all the way on “Jurassic Park: Survival”, a first-person adventure game that picks up immediately after the chaos of Steven Spielberg’s 1993 masterpiece.
Set 24 hours after the film, the game introduces Dr. Maya Joshi (played by British actor Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist stranded on the island. With Alan Grant and the others long gone, Joshi must fight to survive alone with nothing but her wits and whatever resources she can scrape together on an island crawling with prehistoric predators.

A new behind-the-scenes featurette highlights the project’s ambition. Isla Nublar is being rebuilt from the ground up, designed to resemble the film’s iconic locations while also revealing corners of the park that audiences never got to see on screen.
The developers tease both familiar areas, like the abandoned Visitor Center, and entirely new zones that were only hinted at in production notes three decades ago.
But it's the dinosaurs themselves that are the real stars once again. The models closely mirror their film counterparts, ensuring that the T. rex, Raptors, and Triceratops feel instantly recognizable. At the same time, players can expect an expanded roster of species, pushing the sense of discovery beyond what the original movie delivered.

Jurassic World Project Executive Lisa St. Amand says the goal is to “go much deeper” into the world Spielberg established. That includes working directly with Amblin to ensure every detail, from jungle paths to dino behaviors, feels true to the source.
While no release date has been announced, “Jurassic Park: Survival” is already being positioned as more than just another tie-in. It’s a chance to revisit 1993’s Isla Nublar from the ground level, living through the kind of terror and wonder that defined Spielberg’s classic.
