‘Jurassic Park’ Hotel Revealed in Behind-the-Scenes Video Explained

Fans of the Jurassic franchise are getting a new way to explore the world of genetically engineered dinosaurs: the first-person action-adventure video game Jurassic Park: Survival, developed by Saber Interactive.

Jurassic Park: Survival Will Be One of the Franchise's Most Immersive Experiences

Set just 24 hours after Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film, the upcoming game casts players as Dr. Maya Joshi (voiced and performed in motion capture by Payal Mistry), an InGen scientist stranded on Isla Nublar who must outsmart and survive some of the most dangerous prehistoric predators to ever walk the Earth.

The project was first revealed at the 2023 Game Awards with an official cinematic trailer:

Never-Before-Seen Areas, Including a Jurassic Park Hotel

Players will explore “a fully realized Isla Nublar”—including the Visitor’s Center, the T-Rex paddock, and areas unseen in the films—though the game is not a traditional open-world title. Among those locations confirmed is a hotel, a never-before-seen area of the park.

In a deep-dive video revealed in 2025, Universal Products & Experiences executive producer John Melchior explained, “There’s lots of facilities, there’s lots of buildings, there’s lots of attractions that are under construction, there’s a hotel under construction.”

Accompanying concept art also revealed in the video shows a resort with a central hotel, lodges, a lake, surrounding jungle, and a train car approaching through gates reminiscent of the main Jurassic Park entrance. Watch the behind-the-scenes featurette below:

The game will also feature classic species like Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, T. rex, Gallimimus, Brachiosaurus, and Triceratops, with the hotel likely serving as one of multiple save points.

Fans of Michael Crichton's original 1990 bestseller will remember Isla Nublar's Safari Lodge, the hotel where the park's guests, Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, Ian Malcolm, Donald Gennaro, and Lex and Tim Murphy, stayed during their ill-fated tour of the island.

Jurassic Park: Survival will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, though no official release date has been announced. The official synopsis promises a “never-before-told story” that allows players to experience Isla Nublar as never before.
