A new chapter is about to begin for Jedi and Sith-in-training at Walt Disney World. Disney has confirmed that a special storyline, “Reclaimed and Reforged,” will return to Savi’s Workshop at Galaxy’s Edge on October 12, 2025, for a limited run.

A Workshop Like No Other
Since Galaxy’s Edge opened, Savi’s Workshop has been a bucket-list experience for Star Wars fans. Inside the workshop, guests aren’t just building—they’re part of an immersive performance led by the Gatherers. With dramatic lighting, orchestral music, and detailed lore, the process transforms buying a souvenir into living out a Star Wars moment.

Builders select from one of four long-standing design themes: Peace and Justice, Power and Control, Elemental Nature, or Protection and Defense. Each comes with its own parts—emitters, sleeves, switches, endcaps—and the all-important kyber crystal that determines the blade’s color.
A Grittier Option Returns
Earlier this year, Disney tested “Reclaimed and Reforged,” a storyline that feels ripped straight from the expanded Star Wars universe. Instead of polished parts, builders work with relic-inspired pieces: chipped emitters, battle-worn switches, and weathered metal sleeves. The narrative behind it imagines scavengers salvaging lightsaber parts from fallen warriors and galactic skirmishes.
That storyline resonated with fans looking for something different. Collectors appreciated the symbolism of creating order from chaos while also adding a rugged saber to their collection.
October’s Upgrade
Disney has now confirmed that “Reclaimed and Reforged” will return this October. Unlike premium add-ons, it doesn’t cost more than the other paths—the price remains $250. But Disney has made clear that the option is temporary and only available while supplies last. That exclusivity is fueling excitement and urgency for fans planning their fall trips.

Why It Matters
The update is significant because Savi’s Workshop rarely changes. For years, the original four design paths have been the only options, and many returning visitors longed for something fresh. By reviving “Reclaimed and Reforged,” Disney is signaling that Galaxy’s Edge isn’t a static land—it will evolve with new stories, props, and experiences.
Booking Details
Guests wanting this limited-time saber should act fast. Reservations for Savi’s Workshop are recommended and can be booked through the My Disney Experience app. A park ticket and reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios are required to access the experience.
Disney knows how to keep fans coming back, and this October’s lightsaber upgrade is proof. For longtime collectors or first-time Jedi apprentices, “Reclaimed and Reforged” promises to make the Force feel more alive than ever.
